In game server rules!

1. Don't be a dick.

Be excellent to each other. If you enjoy trying to ruin someone else’s good time, you won’t have a place here. Being a jerk in-character is fine to a point, but being a jerk out of character is not welcome.

2. Keep all ooc talk in looc or in in-game ooc chat if you can, but we are not super harsh on mistakes.

If you want to talk about something that is not in the setting, use either of the OOC chats!

3. No ERP.

No Erotic Roleplay. Anything that is seen as sexual by unwilling participants is not allowed.

4. Try to RP a character. We are aiming for a medium or high RP environment.

When playing pentest, we expect you to be playing as a character in the setting. This can be something as silly as a clown in a travelling circus or as simple as an engineer that is looking for work in the frontier. Please do not have character names that reference real life things or people.

5. For PVP: You can only attack other players if they, or you, are being obviously evil.

If you act very obviously evil before doing something evil you are allowed to do antagonistic things. Attacking another player out of the blue without an obvious warning beforehand is not allowed.

For each round, you will need to reset the obviously evil status for yourself and others. What this means is that you need to show that you are an evil person before doing anything evil to another party, for every round and for every group. This can include threats in the radio (as long as it is done before you take any action).

Being antagonistic every round might end up being boring for other players. Admins have the right to tell you to back off if it happens too much.

6. Do not kill or steal from AFK players.

Self explanatory. If a player is AFK please do not harm them, steal from them, etc. You are allowed to revive or help AFK players. For example you are allowed to fix the air of their ship or save them from their ship if their ship is exploding. Do not take them away from their ship if the ship they are in is still functional. If you are going to bluespace jump a ship while there is an AFK player inside, please make sure they have given permission beforehand.

7. No communicating to others about the current round unless it is in a text chat in the official pentest discord in spoilers.

EXCEPTION: There is a designated channel for this named in-round-chatter. You do not need to spoil your posts if you are posting in there. You can also put unspoilered screenshots and clips in the screenshots channel. If you are posting about the round anywhere else make sure it is in spoilers.

8. You need to be 18+ to play on this server.

Self explanatory. No admins will be asking for your age.

9. Bigotry is not allowed, no demeaning other players.

Intentionally seeking to demean others due to their actual or perceived race, sex, gender, disability, orientation or the like is not tolerated.

Discord rules!

1. Don't be a dick to other users. That includes no harassing, doxxing, callouts, wishing harm and the likes. Try to keep the salt level at a reasonable level and take serious arguments, including politics, to private messages.
2. Don't use slurs, or offending terms. The policy is zero tolerance on the server.
3. Don't use channels outside of their intended purpose.
4. Don't abuse pings, especially towards admins.
5. Don't break any of Discord's terms of service.
6. Don't try to find loopholes and abuse edge cases to break or come close to breaking the rules. Repeatedly toeing the line will be considered as breaking a rule.
7. No NSFW content.
8. If you want to make a comment in a discord about an ongoing pentest round, make sure it is in spoilers in a public channel in this discord. Do not livestream a current ongoing round.
9. No breaking metacommunication rules from other servers.
10. No Doxxing; Do not discuss or disclose any user's personal information from: name, age, address, or other irl information without their consent. This includes jokes about Doxxing.
