The Tegu-class network vessel has long been the backbone of Nanotrasen's interstellar telecommunications network. These ships are outfitted with a large communications array, allowing them to function as a mobile network hub both for corporate and civilian radio traffic. While the Tegu has been in service for decades, they have become quite abundant on the Frontier after the ICW, as the Frontier's already-sparse infrastructure was devastated by the fighting, leaving many systems with minimal to no organized telecommunications. In order to facilitate infrastructure reconstruction in an environment with poor shipping networks, the Tegu is also outfitted with mining equipment that allows it to procure materials in the field.

Introduction
The Tegu-class provides telecommunications for Nanotrasen ships, as well as having the equipment to offer networks to other ships with relays and servers. Along with it's large telecommunications array, it is well equipped for mining and has a cargo bay and hanger overseen by the Supply Director.
The Skink-class subshuttle can be used for transporting field technicians between ships to install telecommunications equipment, scouting planets, or making cargo runs to the outpost.

Along with the pre-configured Nanotrasen channel, the Tegu has the equipment to install relays on other ships, and is able to give them a designated server, which can be used for message logging.
Basic relay setup
- Before departing, add the ship's telecommunication hub to your multitool's buffer.
- Bring needed stock parts, which can be found in a crate in the hangar.
- Construct the relay in a powered area on the ship.
- Use the multitool to connect the relay to the telecommunication hub.
Note: Changing the network of a telecommunications machine will clear all linked machines.
Custom channels and servers
- To add more channels to be received and sent by the Tegu, use a multitool on the subspace receiver, and add the frequency.
- To filter frequencies to a specific server for logging, connect the server to the hub, processor, and bus using a multitool. Then, configure the filtered frequencies. If no frequency is set, the server will log all received frequencies.
- It is also possible to open the Tegu to receive on all frequencies by clearing the Receiver's filtered frequencies list, though a linked relay will still be required for long distance communication.
